  •      Can anyone explain why I cannot get my banner to show up as the size I made it? I have resized it half a dozen times, sharpened the image, yet it still shows up blurry & the size displayed above… half of what I want. I even tried stating a size in the header box, but it ignored that as well. Any ideas of how I can fix this? I did not state a size when I uploaded it either. GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

  • Well…I looked at the source, I see no reason why it should be being made that small, looked at the properties, which list it as approx 400×176, which is about half the size of what mine usually are, so I “stole” it to look at the actual image, which is exactly the size it is showing up on your page. So, my best guess would be to make it bigger…

  • No, I can’t….sorry….

  • Cheryl, I made it as large as 1024 x … It still showed up that small on the link page! What I actually uploaded the last time is 1024 x 450 & is 1.3 meg.

The only difference I can figure may be contributing is that I resized the text area, so the text wouldn’t overlap the border on the right. The other banner was uploaded before the change.

  • Well that may be it then, the only idea I had was to make it larger, since what I saved as the image this am was the small one that showed up there.

  • Beats me, too, Pikake. I looked at the properties and it was listed as 468×60 which is the size I’m seeing on my monitor. Maybe xanga doesn’t allow files that are 1.3 meg and ‘adjusted’ it for you. Wish I could help.

Hope you’re feeling well. Also hope Christmas will be wonderful for you.

  • I came up with the same thought Jane, so reduced the image to a file size of half that, yet still larger than what turned up upon uploading it. It also blurred the uploaded image even with sharpening the image several times.

  • I’m also quite bothered by the fact that with my banner’s size & blurriness, the pointsettia look like red butterflies!

I’m far from my image file storage limit as well, so that isn’t a factor. Looks like I’ll try resetting the text block size to what it originally was, reupload the image again & see if that fixes the problem. If it does, I’ll try resetting the text block size to what I reduced it to & see if the banner stays larger, like the previous one.
