:( i don't know windsong but i'll grieve with you :(
 i do hope you did somewhat enjoy your mom's day ... you do need some private time for yourself ... to heal and reflect on life and friends
 by the way howz your son doing? hmmm, the pics sure looked quite bad ... hands and legs ... it's gonna take awhile for both to heal properly ... hope he does not insist that he can still go boarding ...
anywayz ... try and enjoy the rest of the sunday evening and remember windsong is somewhere where all her cancer can't hurt her anymore ... that and remember her in during the good times and not the bad ... good memories will survive eventually ... ;)
i don't understand why god take such beautiful people. I still can't believe she's gone....i guess she's free from the caner though. we exchanged a few emails back and forth before she passed away, and we both said that at least if she did pass away - she'd be able to be free, and also be able to meet my friend Hope, who was a 16 yr old girl....good frined of mine, who passed away to cancer last year. Jane had prayed for her and left her positive comments on her xanga site (hope628). Ah...i cna't wait to meet them both again...i hope you're taking it alright. and i hope everything else is going well for you. talk to you later.. Raul
i am sorry...
Her death, with her very positive attitude that she would overcome this disease, is a reality check to many cancer survivors. Personally, I feel that the medical standard of chemo ISN'T the right way to treat this disease. I know of a woman in my community who had a double radical mastectomy (rather than just removing the affected breast), believing this would prevent a return of the disease. She also went through chemo & radiation, believing that the medical community knows what it is doing. Well, now she has an inoperable BRAIN tumor! This woman was just as positive as Jane that she had cancer beat. Maybe now she'll turn to the natural methods of fighting illnesses, as her ancestors have for thousands of years (she's Hawaiian).
Hi Pikake! Thanks for the information you sent me on Deejer's mom, and Windsong's death. How horrible. Was the killer the victim's brother or Deejer's brother?
There is a cancer clinic in Tijuana Mexico that has gotten some rave reviews from patients who've been there and come home much better in just a couple of weeks. Our local cancer doctor said it's true, they can use medicines down there that aren't approved for us in this country yet.
http://www.williamhittcenter.com is the address on the web. My husband had throat cancer about 3 years ago. We went to church first and he had a profound experience there and was better when we left. Then he got radiation and chemo for 6 weeks. In the middle of the treatment, they did another scan to see if the tumor had shrunk (or they'd have had to cut the larynx out). It was completely gone in 3 weeks, no sign that he had ever had cancer.
He quit drinking and smoking at the beginning of the treatment. We credit God with the healing. I don't know of any home or old time remedies for cancer, but I think the biggest factor is a person's belief.
My aunt had cancer and was ill, but her husband treated her so badly. When she got sick, he threw away all her personal belongings and told her that since she was dying she wouldn't need it anymore. She hung on for a few months, but when she died her doctor told her husband that the cancer didn't kill her, he (the husband) did.
Funny thing is, he had previously had cancer and had his larynx removed. He lived to a ripe old age. Decades beyond the cancer. Go figure!
