A lady about eight months pregnant got on a bus, and she noticed the man opposite her was smiling at her. She immediately moved to another seat.
This time the smile turned into a grin, so she moved again. The man seemed more amused.
When on the fourth move the man burst out laughing, she complained to the bus driver who had the man arrested.
The case came up in court. The judge asked the man what he had to say for himself.
The man replied, "Well, your Honor, it was like this: When the lady got on the bus, I couldn't help but notice her condition. She sat under a sign that said, "The Double Mint Twins are coming.", and I smiled.
Then, she moved and sat under a sign that said, "Slogan's Linament will Reduce the Swelling.", and I had to grin.
Then, she placed herself under a sign that said, "William's Big Stick did the Trick.", and I could hardly contain myself.
BUT, your Honor, when she moved the fourth time and sat under a sign that said, "Goodyear Rubber Could Have Prevented this Accident..." I just lost it. "
Judge, "Case Dismissed!"
This one really got me laughing! Thanks Chuck & Sharon!

Hi Pikake,
I wanted to thank you for coming and reading my weblog and leaving so many comments and eprops. You asked where I found out that there were 600 Iraqi civilian dead. I'm not sure--I think I heard that on the radio. You are right that "only" 600 deaths means 600 horrendous grisly images of innocent dead people, along with who-knows-how-many innocent people with limbs cut off and third degree burns. Still, it is a LOT less than I expected, considering what I knew about the Shock and Awe concept... The way I understood it, Shock and Awe was to be * a lot like Hiroshima, or Nagasaki, but with conventional weapons.* I was expecting tens or hundreds of thousands, and I was completely bewildered by the giddy reporters on CNN saying that "Our plan of attack seems to be what is being referred to as Shock and Awe."
I am like you in that I praise France for standing by principle...they want to keep with diplomatic resolutions, and they see killing people as a bad thing. Why does it seem like we are in the minority of Americans? France thinks killing people is bad. America thinks killing people is good! France bad?
Another comment you made about polling: I've actually seen ads on TV where they show people saying "I want my vote to count, so I'm voting for who I think is going to win!" I wanted to vomit, but I'm not in the habit.
Finally you said something about Jimmy Carter that I found a little unbelievable. Do you know where you heard what you told me? I couldn't find any reference through a google search.
And did I read somewhere that you used to work on a submarine?
nice new look and a very funny joke came with it! happy easter!!!!
Thanks for the compliment & Easter Greetings, abyss. Happy Easter to you too!
